About the event
To start 2024 of with a winter blast, we will be dancing the evening away at the inclusive Snowflake Swing Dance!!! Next Step Clubhouse along with The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte and Best Buddies of North Carolina are tri-hosting this dance. In addition to great music by DJ JOEY, there will be drinks, snacks, and desserts.
This is where you come in! We need you to help to make this an evening to remember. We are looking for people 14 years of age or older to volunteer in a few different capacities. From helping set up and/or clean up to being a dance buddy, you'll make a meaningful impact in other peoples' lives while also having a great time.
Here are the volunteer roles we could use some help with:
5:30 to 7:00 PM - Set up.
6:45 to 7:45 PM - Directing people where to park and walk.
7:00 to 9:00 PM - Dance Buddy with individuals with disabilities.
7:00 to 9:00 PM - Monitor and assist with refreshments.
9:00 to 9:30 PM - Clean up.
The dance itself will be in the gym of First United Methodist Church of Charlotte Saturday, January 27, 2023 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Parking is in the parking garage located at 163 W. 9th St. This is the address you will want to use in your GPS/Naviation system. Detailed directions are HERE. When you arrive inside the garage, look for volunteers to guide you the rest of the way.
