Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. In addition, to our discounted rates, we offer limited scholarships through our scholarship application process.
What should my family expect when we first contact Next Step Clubhouse?
We will learn more about the individual, their interests, strengths, and support needs. This helps us determine whether Next Step Clubhouse is an appropriate fit and allows us to explain the enrollment process, availability, and next steps.
Do you provide transportation?
Transportation is provided for scheduled program activities and field trips. Member families and caregivers are responsible for transportation to and from the Clubhouse. Some members utilize the Charlotte Area Transit System’s (CATS) Special Transportation Service (STS). More information about STS can be found here: STS - Charlotte Area Transit System
Do you provide meals?
Members bring their own lunch, unless otherwise communicated by the Clubhouse. The Clubhouse does, however, provide an afternoon snack! Special activities may occasionally include food, cooking, or treats.
Can members attend only certain days of the week?
Attendance schedules are based on program availability and individual enrollment arrangements. Because space is limited, we work with families to establish a consistent schedule that works for the member and the program.
Can members switch their attendance days?
Attendance days generally cannot be changed because staffing, activities, and transportation are planned around scheduled attendance. Occasional changes may be considered when space allows.
Does Next Step Clubhouse provide one-on-one care or small group options?
While some members may need occasional prompting, reminders, or assistance, Next Step Clubhouse is a group-based program and is not designed to provide continuous one-on-one or small group supervision or personal care.
Is Next Step Clubhouse a residential program?
Next Step Clubhouse is a non-residential, community-based day program. Members attend during scheduled program hours and return home at the end of the day.
What makes Next Step Clubhouse different?
We believe adults with disabilities deserve opportunities to build friendships, explore their community, discover their strengths, try new things, and have fun in an environment where they feel valued and included.
Our goal is to create a community where every member has opportunities to participate, contribute, grow, and belong.
